Custom Moulded Ear Plugs

Individually fitted hearing protection for work, leisure and everyday life.

About this service

Protecting your hearing is important, whether you're working in a noisy environment, enjoying live music, riding a motorcycle or simply looking for greater comfort in everyday life.

Custom moulded ear plugs are individually made to fit the shape of your ears. Unlike standard disposable ear plugs, they provide a personalised fit designed to offer comfortable, reliable hearing protection.

At Earworx, we'll discuss where and how you intend to use your ear plugs, explain the options available and help you choose suitable protection. Accurate ear impressions are taken where appropriate so that your ear plugs can be manufactured to your individual requirements.

Clinic and workplace appointments:
Custom-moulded ear plug fittings are available at our Hull clinic. We can also arrange visits to workplaces across Hull and East Yorkshire, making it convenient for employers to organise hearing protection fittings for their employees. We discuss individual requirements and the type of protection needed, with workplace visits arranged by prior agreement.

We'll also explain how to insert, remove, clean and care for your ear plugs, helping you get the best from your investment.

Whether you need hearing protection for work, music or leisure, our aim is to provide a practical solution that suits your needs and lifestyle.

Questions about custom moulded ear plugs

They can provide individually fitted protection for activities such as noisy work, live music and motorcycling. We discuss your intended use and help you consider the most appropriate style and level of protection.

We examine your ears and, if suitable, take impressions of your ear canals. These are used to manufacture plugs shaped for you. If wax or another ear-health issue is present, the impression may need to be postponed.

The process may feel unusual or slightly full, but it should not be painful. We explain each step and check suitability first. Tell us immediately if you experience discomfort.

Usually not: the impressions are sent for manufacture and the finished plugs are supplied later. We will explain the ordering process, likely lead time and any fitting arrangements before you commit to an order.

Follow the cleaning and storage instructions supplied for your particular plugs. Keep them clean, inspect them for damage and ask for a fit check if they become uncomfortable or no longer seal properly.

Yes, workplace fitting visits may be arranged across Hull and East Yorkshire by prior agreement. Contact us with your location, approximate numbers and the type of noise exposure so that we can discuss availability and pricing.
